What's your OS? If it's Windows 7 then try I.E. 10. It's actually pretty good now. Sometimes when I use Chrome on my desktop computer it'll freeze, too, sometimes.

If you have Windows 8/8.1 then definitely use I.E. 11. It's greatly improved and fast
as all lightning.

Disable all add-ons in Firefox and see if the situation improves.

Right now I would suggest disabling the addons until you discover if the issue does/does not persist. If no, we can see which one is causing this. If the issue persists, we can pursue other avenues.

Not looking into this would lead to merely picking at straws IMO.

Unfortunately these days it is pretty normal for a couple firefox tabs to consume that much memory. Its just stupidly retarded but it is what it is.

Have you looked in task manager to see what is consuming cpu cycles? Enable the cpu time column.

Maybe it's your antivirus. Some of them are pretty aggressive at killing your internet no you can't download viruses. Try turning it off.

You can try running Firefox in safemode and see if that works. To use safemode hold down the shift key and double click Firefox. Use the flash uninstaller and try a flash install again. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Does freezing happen when you open certain websites or just right away as soon as you open Firefox?

i just uninstalled shockwave flash player. Its seem that is the main CRIMINAL for all this badsss. No neither this happens when i start firefox nor specific website.

Guys pls let me know from ur side weather u r getting this prob or not

Can you confirm that your CPU is a 1.4 GHz Pentium dual core with 533 MHz FSB? (lol why would that be slow?!?!) Take screenshots of task manager once you have your cpu time column enabled.
