Firefox...automatic window resize

Ok, I use FireFox and I have a problem. When I click on a link that will launch a new window, say for example, a picture, it resizes the new window automatically, but it always makes it too small and won't allow me to resize it. How can I fix this?

Like the below link, if you go there and then click on the picture of the golf bag, I get a really small window that can't be resized.

Actually, I have it set to where all links (except for JS windows) are opened in a new tab... I don't have the problem of resizing.

My firefox developed the same problem about a week ago, too lazy to look into it right now, but did you get it fixed now?

did some digging on the mozilla forum, apparently it is a rather common problem with no clean solution besides deleting profile...

one temp patch is to enable resizing by typing about:config in the url, filter dom.disable_window_open_feature.resizable and toggle it to true
