firefox and gmail

anyway to open a gmail message in a new tab? i can get it work if I view gmail as html only but in the regular format it gives me an option to open frame in a new tab but that just opens the new inbox.

in firefox (1.0.1 with tabbed browser preferences) control click just opens in the same window

Im not actually sure what the tabbed browser extensions are, but by default with 1.0.1, ctrl click opens any link you click on in a new tab. Im sure there are options you can go through if the tabbed browser extensions are an add on.

I think the problem is gmail works as javascript (similar to how hotmail handles it so ctrl click doesnt work)

on the topic of javascripts and emails...

i'm having a problem deleting my emails in yahoo mail. the delete button doesn't seem to work... neither does the empty bulk mail link on the left frame.

if there a way to fix this problem? or is yahoo mail only designed for internet explorer?
