Firefox address bar history

I absolutely hate what they did to the address bar history in Firefox 3. is there any way to make it like 2.0 ?

The problem is, when I type a URL into the Address bar, I usually know exactly what I'm looking for and my sole purpose for typing in in the address bar is not to search but to speed up getting to it by not having to type the whole thing in. With version 3, they made it too complex to see what you're looking for without taking time to visually scrutinize the convoluted results that are returned when you start to type in the address bar. Some people might be OK with this but I'm not, I'm a firm believer in the KISS principle. I hate unnecessary complexity. Even when it's supposed to be an improvement.
