Firefox 59 Released

Firefox 59 gives me errors about sites not being secure(i.e.,https sites) and won't connect at all..even to google.
(This is on Windows 10 x64 Professional.)
Any idea why?
Sorry if I'm veering off-topic..just confused.

Looks like the new update to Firefox 59.0.2 fixed the problem.

Is your clock (date and time) correct?

Try a fresh profile? (run firefox -p, create profile)

Those are good suggestions. I believe it has something to do with your profile too so I'd try a new profile first.

I saw this same problem before, no idea why it started happening but I was able to get around it by going in options and unchecking this box: Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates

Although that does seem to be a less secure way...so I would personally prefer to create a new profile for FF.

I decided to install the FF update on my laptop, well installation went fine but it won't launch at all even after reboot, IE,Vivaldi all launch fine so guess I've to do more troubleshooting, now I know why I ditched FF lol as my main browser, oh well got to love PCs and software 🙂 .

Man, Firefox is easily the fastest and snappiest browser by far now. I am so impressed by the speed and fluidity that I made it my primary browser. Even though I still love Microsoft Edge, I have to admit that Firefox has now easily surpassed it. I guess I'll see what kind of improvements to performance Microsoft Edge has with the Spring Creator's update, and hope that Edge manages to catch up.

I had to uninstall Firefox on my laptop, just would not launch at all (latest version), when I get more spare time to troubleshoot I will try to get it working, works fine on my desktop PC as my backup browser, however still prefer Vivaldi in general (love my tabs at bottom of the web page ie just above taskbar) .

Currently download the Spring Creators RTM update. I will test the new Edge browser and see how it compares to Mozilla's latest Firefox 😀

Have any of you seen FF59 randomly shuffle your bookmarks to other folders? It keeps moving mine at random from the folders I've specified to other folders forcing me to go to the website of the bookmark then select edit bookmark and then move it back to where I had it.

If anyone is curious to see how the latest version of the Edge browser stacks up against Firefox, to me it seems that it's slightly slower when it comes to rendering web pages, but the scrolling speed in Edge is much faster and smoother than in Firefox and basically any other browser. Also, the new fluent design updates to Edge look really good.

My FF just updated to 60.0 but I'm on the beta channel so they are on track to release this to the masses on the 9th.
