Does anyone know how to turn off the semi transparent menu bar of Firefox 4? Firefox 3 doesn't have this and it's difficult to read the menu bar in FF4. I don't want a new theme, simply turn this off.

I don't have anything there except the group tabs . Do you have a screenshot of what you are talking about ?

i think that is what they are, no way to remove them?

Group tabs like Modelworks said. It is a awesome new firefox feature! Just got to learn how to use it first. Quite simple. Watch the little video it should help a lot! I love it. Can't use Firefox 4 yet because most of the tab add ons mess up in Firefox 4 nightly builds and I am sure the upcoming Firefix 4 Beta 4 as well with the new group tab features. It really sucks. Even session saver is messed up now. Oh well. Hopefully at least one of the add on authors fixes their tab extension. Can't get greasemonkey to work in any of the Firefox betas or nightly builds either. I must have this! Downthemall is a touch and miss for them most part it works. Roboform not at all also a must have. MyTube not at all either and another must have. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/compatibility *Make sure to remember to click on View Compatibility Report.

Unfortunately only around 17% of addons support the latest nightly builds of Firefox 4 :( Sucks.

Does this fix, or allow, the toolbars to be sized larger? It is difficult for me to read the small size in 3.6.8.

I was going to wait until FF4b4 was officially released until I messed with FF4 at all. I guess they missed that Monday release? I went ahead and just grabbed FF4b3 and have to say I'm mightily impressed.

Now I can't wait to mess with tab candy and hardware acceleration.

Bottom line from what I read in these reviews its not much of a speed improvement from 3.6.8 official. Chrome 5 is way way way faster then firefox or IE for those hopeless ones.

Chrome 5 pownz right now! as the words fastest browser. You click and instantly you see hte page without watching images load etc etc....

well i can tell you for a fact that it is a lot more faster than 3.6.8 as i switched from that version to the beta. especially after i enabled D2D

There's more to life than speed. Both Chrome and Opera are a bit faster than Firefox. Opera has regular rendering errors, and Chrome's too stripped. I never feel like I'm waiting on Firefox. It's fast enough, and the addons increase it's value well above the competition.
