I installed Vista 64bit today and decided I'd try the 64 bit firefox. Runs great, except Flash doesn't work in 64 bit browsers - if I read correctly on Google? Any ways I can't get it to work, was told to run Firefox 32 bit.

was wondering if anyone has used both and cares to comment on any signifiant differences speed wise between the 2?

thanks

IE 64 bit works fine, but you are correct that flash is not running on 64 bit browsers.

Haven't tried firefox 64 bit yet, but I'm still uncertain that there's any serious performance benefit from going to a 64bit browser in the first place.

The adobe flash popups on about 1 in 5 websites I go to were enough to make my brain a'splode

I believe Data Execution Prevention is mandatorily enforced on all 64-bit code on Vista x64, so that's a potential benefit for 64-bit browsers. Maybe Adobe is having problems making a Flash extension that doesn't crash under mandatory DEP enforcement, who knows.

Adobe seems a bit down on 64-bit in general, judging by their pooh-poohing of 64-bit in this post. Ironic, considering that their high-end apps seem like the perfect candidate for massive amounts of RAM.

Adobe sucks when it comes to 64-bit. Big company as they should have prepared for 64-bite age.
