All:
In Firefox 2.x the "Open All In Tabs" function is WAY different than in the new Firefox 3 and I want to go back to the Firefox 2 way of doing things. I'm hoping someone here will know how to do this.
The scenario is this: you have several folders with like 5 bookmarks in each - lets call them Folder A, B, and C.
In Firefox 2.x, when you select Folder A and the contextual menu shows you the bookmarks, it also showed you an option for "Open All In Tabs", which if you chose that would open all the bookmarks in that folder as it should.
Then when you selected Folder B and subsequently chose to "Open All In Tabs" from that folder, it would REPLACE all the currently opened tabs (from folder A) with all the tabs it needs from Folder B.
This behavior is IMHO a good thing.
Now in Firefox 3 repeat this scenario. When you get to the point of opening Folder B and choosing the "Open All In Tabs" it will now ADD all those tabs from Folder B to the previously opened ones from Folder A. Which means your tabs went from 5 to 10, rather just replacing the prior 5.
If anyone knows how to revert to the 2.x behavior, other than going back to Firefox 2 of course, I would be most grateful
Ronnie
