FF has always been very stable for me.
Maybe you should take your computer in to have a qualified technician diagnose it for you.

FF never crashes here.
I have tried Opera. It isn't terrible, I would use it if I didn't have Firefox, but there are a few minor things about it that annoy me.

Do yourself, your friends, and the computers at work install garbage like yahoo/google toolbards like retards? Both of those plugins are prone to flash/quicktime crashes which is related purely to bad plugin coding and has nothing to do with Firefox.
I deploy over 12,000 workspaces with Firefox 3 with autopurge scripts to remove yahoo/google/etc toolbars and the number of Firefox tickets I have seen pass through the queue for incident:crash = 0. I have over 20,000 IE crash reports since Feb 02 (bundled IE6 and 7, however..) and we do not allow Opera.
Sounds like you're just retarded and don't understand how to utilize a Windows update server, run windows updates, and keep Firefox up to date and devoid of malicious third party bloatware.
i got my work machine with a fresh install of FF and i loathe add-on toolbars - it was happening since day one of use. and you sound retarded for making asinine assumptions.Originally posted by: bunnyfubbles

My thoughts exactly...the only time FF has ever crashed on me has been due to addons such as flash or java screwing up.
Firefox 3 is one of Best Open Source Browser and highly Secure Browser. With the Release of Firefox 3 on Download Day it has made the way to millions of users Computer. Majority of Users are happy with Firefox 3 which has improved Memory Management and Speed. Even i have felt that memory Consumption is reduced alot and WebPages loads way faster then older Firefox version. Read how you can Tweak Firefox 3 about:config to get more out of Firefox 3.
But some of users are not happy just because of some of random Crashes of Firefox 3. This is really frustrating for them. Many Users have reported that this Crashes never happened with them before. After Searching around whole day I got some of Fixes for Firefox 3 Crashes This might help some Users .
I started to experience real big problem with Firefox 3 RC2 that is intermittently crashing of the browser. I thought this is normal because it is still under testing and not a final stable release. Within a week, Firefox RC3 was released and it is the last RC before the final release. Updated to RC3, still the same crashing problem. About a week later, Firefox 3 final was released and I immediately updated my Firefox to the latest version hoping that the crashing problem would be fixed.
Unfortunately even the final ?stable? version of Firefox 3 is still crashing intermittently. Waited for nearly 2 weeks, but still no updates. This crashing problem is really annoying because it is intermittent and there is no way to replicate the problem. Firefox 3 can crash when opening a site with flash, opening a new tab, closing tab, filling up forms and etc? I?ve got really fed up with the problem and I had to find a solution.
