Thanks, and IE7 does royally suck. I can't even get it to load. It just locks up my computer.

I have been having the same problem with IE7 on my old T23 laptop...

thnx - I luv you 😛
(note "luv" and "thnx" spelled wrong - LOL

FWIW: The Oct 23 appears to be the final. Its RC3 which they said was final unless they found a major thing, which they didnt. Mine says v 2.0 in help/about. The only thing you get tommorrow apparently, is other languages.
If yours says 2006 101023 in title bar, you got it from wrong place

The first major update to the Firefox is slated to release tomorrow, as version 2.0 reaches final state. In actuality, the final release of Firefox 2.0 will be no different from the RC3 version released a week ago.

The version released a week ago came with the statement from Mozilla VP Mike Schroepfer that "If there are no showstoppers, RC3 will be [the final version]." And apparently, there were no showstoppers, so Firefox 2.0 is officially complete.

Ubuntu grabbed it automatically for me. I like the inline spell check (haha, inline is spelled wrong, but that is what they call it in their release notes!) I will miss the close tab button in one spot though. That has been my major beef with IE. I know you can change the close tab location, but for other reasons, I hope Tab Mix Plus will support 2.0 soon, if not already.

Does it support all the old extensions (adblock plus in particular)? If so I'll probably switch to it later today.

arg, how do I stop it?

spelling correctly would be my first guess

O.K., I'll ask HOW do I TURN IT OFF.
Nothing in about:config
Nothing in options
It shows that stupid jagged underline for ANYTHING out of the ordinary.

FWIW - kinda boring GIU heres some mozilla themes

Ok I'll ask how I turn it on!

Its not working for me

dude, you were the one trying to prove me wrong yesterday in numerous posts, saying it wasn't final version.

I and others said it was final version.

you countered with version numbers trying to prove us wrong.

I countered today showing that it was in fact the final version released yesterday and that you were wrong.

If you are going to crap on a post and try and prove others wrong publicly, you have to be willing to accept that you may be wrong sometimes too. It doesn't mean I think I'm better than you or anything. I've been wrong before. It's no big deal.

I'm liking the new theme, much better then the old, default, one. I also think that adding spellcheck and being able to remove search engines with out extensions was a good idea.

Anyone having issues with Pandora and FF 2.0? I reinstalled Flash/Shockwave, but no go in the latest release. I have flashblock and adblock plus installed and it worked fine in version 1.5. Now when I click the button to play flash I just get a blank screen. Any ideas?

Am I retarded, I can't seem to get Firefox 2.0 to do simple things.

1. When I select a new tab and then type in address in the address bar it opens in the original or 1st tab not the new open one I have selected?

2. How do I add google to the search bar? Clicking get more search engines does nothing.

Same here, even after disabling Flashblock and Adblock.

Edit: Had to re-install Flash Player from Adobe's site (since when did Macromedia sell Flash?)

Edit2: And on that same machine I've had it lockup 3 times in the five hours it has been installed, even after removing any incompatible plugins.

Just the spell check feature is enough reason for me to upgrade.

However I don't like the buttons they chose They aren't very bright until you mouse over them which makes them look almost grayed out. But I got the Azerty III theme and it Rocks!
