icons have been updated, tab bar has another refresh (more gray like if you hover on it), open recently closed tabs menu, more extensions work (for me at least), bug fixes, etc.
 
Of course sessionsaver wont work...Theres a session saver built in now. Or, so i heard...

Mozilla Deer Park (or was it one of the others, Firefox branch 3.x) has a built-in spell checker (aSpell). It worked when typing Anandtech posts. Other than that, performance is just really sluggish and I don't see many improvements. I had to get rid of it because it was so slow (but the spell check was awesome). The UI did look cleaner.

I tried Opera for a bit, but I didn't really take to it. Firefox ftw 😛
 
Anyone know if the cookie handling is as good as IE's yet?

I block cookies as much as posible, but sometime I block 3rd party cookies, then can't remember their name and something like a "check out" doesn't work (this is when using FF). With IE, I know what domains cookies are being blocked and I can very easily unblock them.

This is the only reason I still use IE (memory bloat).

I have mine set to allow session cookies, and block 3rd party cookies. Everything works fine for me, but that may be the sites I use.

you must be a M$ spokesman.. or on alot of good crack.. casue IE is superior to horsecrap and thats about it..

FF is faster.. allows more download strings..has better plug ins.. can now spell check on the fly for even forum posts. is not a leaky boat when it comes to security holes...
is not spyware prone...

geez what is there to like about IE these days?

If you're familiar with the Noscript extension, there is one that is similar to it but for cookies. It's called Cookiesafe. Basically, you can set it to block ALL cookies except for the ones you whitelist.

Working pretty good for me. I get the occasional crash which seems to be related to Javascript. However, I am running Beta software on an alpha release of an operating system, in addition to other things, so it may not be a FF problem.

The only good thing about IE is that it's built right into XP, so then people who don't use computers all the time can access it easily. That's pretty much it.

The only good thing about IE is that it's built right into XP, so then people who don't use computers all the time can access it easily. That's pretty much it.

Wouldn't that be a bad thing, considering it's attached to the registry?
 
Oh, and Schadenfroh or any other Opera users, could you tell me if there is a way that I can get Opera to change the way it handles Javascript popups (good Javascript popups, like for slideshows on CNET)? I hate having a Javascript popup in Opera's MDI because I can only move it so far in the space. I'd rather it be like Firefox in which these popups become seperate windows.
 
Why do you people link to random unofficial sites? Do you make money off the ads on that page? Just use a download.mozilla.org link - it'll be faster than any torrent since there's no startup overhead, and you don't run the risk of being served a trojaned binary.
