firefox 10 beta 6 released

Still obliged to stick with Firefox 5 due to the fact that later versions aren't compatible with the Kaspersky Addons like the Anti Banner and the URL Advisor 🙁

I can see one thing I won't like already. I like to see it on my toolbar.
If I want it, leave it there or at least the option to put and keep it there.
The forward button is now hidden until you navigate back

bummer. wonder when they will update those addons, it seems like they've had some time now...

This is what it looks like with my setup on Ubuntu...

Was FF10 the release where updates are done automatically?

Sure is! I'm running Beta 6 currently and according to the mozdev team, beta is is near-RC quality. Unless bugs are found in this beta, it could very well be repackaged as the RC. No bugs here, so far!

I don't mind if the button if grayed out until it is needed, as long as it stays on the toolbar.
That is how it is now on Firefox 9.0.1 but I am using Firefox 3 Theme For Firefox 4+ 2.0.0
I just prefer how it looks that way.

I just came into the software forum about to start a new thread saying FF is retardedly slow for some reason (I have to use it for airdroid, for example), then I saw this thread. I went to the About FF and it showed I was still at v5.0. Shows how much I use this. I've been using Opera almost exclusively the last few years. Anyway, I upgrade to the latest 9.01 and it still seems to lag behind Opera loading the same Anandtech pages by 1-2 seconds. How is FF so popular?! I like it's extensibility and even its look & feel (yes I said that) but it's still slow!!!

Opera uses some tricks to /appear/ faster than they are. They are actually a bit faster, but it isn't significant for a full page load.
