I just dowqnloaded latest Firefox 1.03 and made it a default browser. I like it a lot but when i try to run Virtual Server 2005 which is a web based application... it asks me exactly this:

"Enter Username and password for "" at http://<mycomputername>"

I replaced my real computer name with <mycomputername>in the message
I try the username and blank password for my logged in account to windows, but it doesnt work... maybe it just doesnt work with Firefox...

On IE it doesnt ask me for any login... thats y i think its wierd with Firefox...

Has anyone tried this or knows any fix for the Firefox and Virtual Server 2005?

Also does Firefox work with Micromedia Flash websites...?. coz mine doesnt display the flash part of these websites...

I seem to recall the same with Opera concerning Virtual Server. I would expect the interface nearly requires the use of IE.

Remember a great deal of Microsoft technology is built around the Internet Explorer architecture. While it is personally something I disagree with, it is understandable.

Firefox should leave you quite an obvious hint about obtaining plugins.

Yep ActuaryTm... it has nothing to do with Firefox.... its the application design that requires IE... I think it has to do with the authentication level within the Virtual Server which is set to NTLM...
I will just leave IE as the default browser so i can run the VM 2005, but use Firefox for my surfing... I am kinda getting used with it and i love it...

But for the flash thingie... its strange that Firefox does not promt me or suggest me to install any Macromedia plugins when i go to a Flash website... it shows like the plug-in is already installed... if i right click the flash part that is not working... I can click on the about Macromedia Flash... and i get directed to the About page showing the plugin version that is installed in my machine...
But Firefox does not gime me any clues or hints on how to reinstall it or what to do...
