Have you tried disabling some or all of your 3rd party plugins?

I think I've isolated the crashes on the same few pages I encounter can be stopped by stopping loading before the ad servers respond. See if turning off images doesn't prevent the crash.

Are you submitting talkback reports when it crashes? Can you post the talkback IDs here?

Firefox 1.01 crashed twice on me on the first session of usage; I've used it only sparingly since then. My bank's Flash applet doesn't work properly either.
In daily usage, I can't recall Firefox 1.0 ever crashing on me, but it may have happened. Nor can I recall the last time Mozilla crashed on me.

Same here. I just tried playing a "Redline" racing game on Macromedia's site and the game crashed right when I was about to start a race! I usually don't play too many flash games, but decided to try this one out.. and it crashed..
Since v1.0.1 I've noticed more crashes than with v1.0. I wish I could still download 1.0, instead... or hope 1.0.2 is not too far off. Currently using IE with all the Firefox crashes, but miss the tabs![]()
Well, except for 1.0-ish versions are very crash-happy compared to prior (0.9.x) versions. There are/were some javascript-related "crashes" that weren't app-crashes at all, they in fact triggered an actual app-quit somehow, without the user requesting it. (I leave my browser open all the time, overnight even, and when I returned to it in the morning, I thought that someone had messed with my PC, because FF was no longer running, and there was no crash listed in the App Event Log. Another fellow had the same problem, in a thread on MozillaZine, and he opened a bug on the issue, I haven't checked it since, since I obtained an updated JS3250.DLL to use. No crashes/exits since, for the most part.) Overall uptime/stability was markedly better during the 0.8 - 0.9.x period, IMHO. However, newer versions have much better performance, so it's a bit of a tradeoff.Originally posted by: CTho9305
Make sure talkback is enabled and submit talkback reports when it crashes. 1.0.1 really shouldn't crash any more than 1.0 - very few changes were included.
