Absolutely. Better to have frequent patches and be secure rather than knowing there is a critical flaw with IE and having to wait a month or more for the next security update.

Does it still eat up 50MB of RAM, increasing the amount used after each refresh of a webpage or have they fixed that yet; along with the fact that the download manager randomly doesn't close even though it's set to, sometimes causes the entire browser to lock up for 3 seconds, and generally performs like sh!te?

It commonly uses that much... it's a problem... doesn't give back memory it takes. I'm at 57MB right now browsing ATOT and that's it.
