OK. one short? season isn't too much of a commitment. I certainly stuck with the Dennis Leary fireman show way longer than it deserved (finished season 2. should have stopped halfway through season 1)

since it was canceled way too soon, as fanboys say, is the end going to piss me off?

The end of the TV show will probably annoy you. It just doesn't end at all. The last episode is fairly normal affair (no cliff-hangars or anything). So it feels kind of weird I guess? The first 15 minutes or so of the movie (Serenity) takes place before the show and the rest takes place after the show.

I watched Serenity a few years back, but never saw Firefly, so some of it didn't make sense. I watched Firefly over the past few weeks and then re-watched Serenity this past weekend, and it was much better. Also, Inara (same actress played Anna on V) is quite luscious!

A note about watching the show: Watch the episode (not the movie) Serenity first, followed by the Train Job. The rest should be in order. (Ah, good. Netflix has them in the correct order.) Stupid execs and their forcing a refilming of the pilot, making things more confusing than it needed to be.

The Blu-Ray is also in the correct order.

Haha, agreed. Zoe is the one blemish on this otherwise superb show. Her acting sucks, and is more and more noticeable every time I re-watch any episodes or the movie.

I can't believe they didn't have a full 5+ season run. Word is Fillion would be interested in coming back but I bet they wouldn't get anyone else for various reasons.

More Firefly and a new Star Trek series that is set following and uses as many characters from Star Trek Deep Space Nine as possible would be totally awesome. Just wishful thinking of course.

WH40K DM is gone because THQ went bankrupt, but another studio has since taken up the mantle and will be releasing Eternal Crusade.

Defiance has been out for awhile and just went F2P. Only played it a little so can't judge it yet.

But yeah, lots of promised games with a few being very hyped only to vanish into the realm of vaporware.

I was able to watch the video, seems like its a pretty simple game play model. I'm speculating but it looked like the PC&MAC portion was simply higher resolutions.
Again maybe I'm wrong.

Well yes of course, my point is that if the game runs in a phone/tablet then it's probably not too 'deep'. I guess there is a 0.012% chance I'm wrong, but it definitely puts this game off my list.

Wow, more than half those games died since I posted that!

I played TOR and well...good single player story, not much nice to say about multiplayer/MMO aspect. Planetside 2 suffers from what Battlefield did to make it easier for all players (3D spotting, audio spot etc) but it is at least a viable MMOFPS, I just wish there would be more developed to give it some competition.

I thought you had revived this thread because of the recent announcement that the original Firefly cast would be providing voices to this game!
