Heh, I just downloaded 45gb in the past 36 hours.
 
I watched Serenity without even knowing what it was about and thought it was a mediocre sci fi/fantasy movie... You really have to watch the series to make something out of it I guess, because it just went nowhere

Absolutely ... the only negative is that you'll end up really upset that the show was canceled.

Also I strongly suggest watching Serenity a second time after you watch Firefly ... thats what I did & it was like watching a different movie the second time around.

I agree - it made a lot more sense the second time I watched Serenity (after completing the series).
 
actually looking back did river annoy everyone else in the series? She barely did anything but scream during the entire season except in the last few episodes etc.

She was fine in the movie though.

Just did the same myself as I was sick today. Definitely entertaining.

At first I thought the whole 'western' thing was going to ruin it but it was nice in the end.

I watched the movie before I saw the series and it didn't ruin the tv series too much. I definitely wished I had watched the series first, but watching the movie did get me to watch the series.

I watched the movie first, and am now up to Disc 3 of the series. I'm really enjoying Firefly. The humor is quite good. And Jewel Staite is...just wow. :heart:

I should also mention that I was initially put off by the description "Western Sci-Fi", but it actually works very well.
