Bumping this as a reminder, first two episodes come on in about an hour here (central time). Channel 284 if you have DirecTV. 🙂

I don't see how this thread is important enough to be bumped let alone posted, and reposted. This is like saying "Full House returns to prime time" and have it really be on TV Land at 9 PM.

I've got the DVDs/blu rays of the show/movie. Watching it on cable has no interest for me.

I never watched this originally...hell, I never heard of it until a while back when someone here was talking about it.

So far, I've watched the Serenity pilot tonight and the train episode.
meh...not terrible, but not great either. Scripts seem a bit better than Warehouse 13......and the acting is even a bit better. 😛

BD, I woudl say the same. The train is out-of-sequence and was intended to get your interest. It really did not work too well.

The main story line has a bit more draw to it, but the general feeling of Star Wars meets Deadwood meets Blazing Saddles is infectious......

I saw the movie, but had never seen the series. Started DVR on these, and I like it. I did not see the end of the train episode coming. "The last thing you will see is my blade!" Capt. "Darn." (Kicks thug into engine intake) :awe:

I'm finally watching BSG, b/c Goddamn Netflix finally released the opening mini series on streaming. (it was everything but the mini series for a long time)

anyhoo, I'm gonna assume that is better than Firefly?

I never got the Joss Whedon thing. Don't know what people like about him. They say his writing is so clever and multi-layered...but are these the same people that think The Dark Knight is a brilliant movie?

what I mean is--it's good, sure, but there is nothing clever or new about any of it.

:\
