Firefly Hot: BFG 7800GT OC at BB

Best buy has the the BFG 7800 GT for $429 in store price. You can pricematch for $399 (Compusa). Bestbuy has a $50 MIR. Not bad.

BFG 7800 GT OC

I got mine for this plus I used my $90 Award dollars, sold my 6600GT for 110. So for less than $180 (includes tax) I'm sporting this Card

Does it really matter if you price match the Comp USA price?

I can't believe you were able to sell the 6600 GT for $110... tempting, very tempting, mainly because of my reward zone points.

I'd be surprised if most stores will do the PM, because of their stupid "rebates count toward final price" policy when pricematching. Good luck though.

The instore price is $379 after MIR. I called the store to see if it was instock and the guy told me it was now onsale for $379 after rebate.

That's why I got it at BB. I had $90 in Reward Zone Dollars and I used them (tax free) for this.

As for pricematching, I had no problems. He said as long as it's instock and with a local retailer.

Would that be the same 7800GT OC as this one at ZZF?

Yeah, I think the norm is $340 your going to get a 7800GT for.

Hey man Fireflies ain't hot, they just generate light.. And if you are alluding to the movie, that movie was cold this weekend! I saw it, it was great, but not enough others wanted to see it...

Nice card, but I can't afford $350 for a vid card after I got in on that 20in wide screen Dell lcd deal. Even if it weren't for that though, I try not to spend above $200 on a vid card because the prices fluctuate so much, it's just not cost effective. Wait a a couple months it'll be down in the $200 range and then we'll be seeing some hot deals. But for those of you who can't wait, there it is. See you in 6 months when you're selling it to me so you can upgrade! Bwahaha!

So true. I just sold my $163 6600GT for $110. So Yeah, a rough 30-40% might be the case. However, I only spent $180 for this card. So I kept it under $200 too!

Unless its a manufacturer rebate you wont get the rebate if you price match.

All BBY rebates clearly state they are not vaild when the price is changed at the regester, for any reason (PM, clearenace, open box, etc.)

Well I wouldnt say "for any reason". Coupons dont invalidate rebates so thats still fine.

Looks like ZZF is out of stock now, and they raised the price $20 to $360. NewEgg has the eVGA one for $339 shipped, AR.
