I bought this grill, and wanted to use it with a 20lb gas tank. Turns out I need to get a special adapter from Thermos to get it to work!!!

Anyone else has experience with this? I went to Home Depot and the guy could not find any adapter that would fit the grill.

It sucks because I'd rather have a 20lb tank for regular use AND a small 1lb tank for portable use.

Please let me know if you have any idea.

They sell the adapter at all the Home Depots around me (northern VA). Also in our area we have BBQ grill stores that sell all kinds supplies. You might want to check the yellow pages.

One problem with buying this off Amazon. They sent me two damaged units so all in all they paid to ship this thing 5 times for me. It was a real pain to have to pack them back up and carry them to the mail truck. One was dented and the other one the cooler leaked out of the bottom. You definitely want to check this before too long so you can return it if you have to. The last time they sent me an email saying they are no longer exchanging this item. If you get a damaged one you might not get an exchange. Just remember to keep all of your packaging.

This is a great grill/cooler combo. I got it a couple months ago for the same price at Amazon. It's a little heavy to lift into an SUV or truck when the cooler is full and the grill is on it. Good thing you can take the grill off.

GOT MY GRILL! Shipped from nevada ups ground (Im in CA) and the box was pretty beat up, I can't imagine shipping across country. It is sweetness on wheels I can't wait to try it out.

i got this a few months back. first one was broken and the top wouldnt raise after pushing the foot pedal. it was a pain to return but amazon tries to make it painless. great grill though.

i went to walmart to buy some chlorine for my pool and in the same isle i spotted the adaptor to attach the regular tanks. it was only $15 so i grabbed one and it fits just fine. it is made by char-broil i think.
