Fire Emblem 3ds

Picked it up through Best Buy ship to store for $15

Should I go to the store and pick it up or should I just let it cancel?

I like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts but I am unsure about the way this RPG works. It looks like a game board.

What is so special about this game? I am not seeing it. I am thinking Luigi's Mansion might be a better purchase for me. Can't play the demo since I won't have a 3ds until Christmas.

FE is amazing. It is a turn based strategy game and is so damn good. So good, one of the best games this year.

Why did you buy it if you don't even know what it is?

I bought it because everyone gets so hyped about it and it was $15. I admittedly have a slickdeals problem.

I am just interested to hear how intense the gameplay is. Monster Hunter would never work for me as I don't dive that deep into games. Zelda will be my primary game but when I need a break I was going to switch to a secondary on the plane.

It's what's known as a strategy or tactical RPG. Battles put emphasis on movement and position on the playfield grid and controlling large numbers of units and not just your party of 3-5, and pit army against army in long skirmishes rather than lots of individual random battles.

Its worth playing through, I thought it was a pretty decent game. The only thing i don't like is that you can purchase maps via some sort of nintendo store and get access to different characters that are unobtainable w/o purchase of those maps. But thats bonus content. The story line is still very good.
