I'm not a hotshot/firefighter, but I've worn both of these boots for most of my 30 years in construction.
I grew up in Spokane, so these names are as common to me as RedWings are to many other people...but a HELLUVA lot better built boots.

Agreed! These boots kick ass...sometimes literally!

This time of the year, it's almost impossible to get them, or to get them rebuilt. They give special customer service to the firefighters/hotshots whose life may depend on their boots.

I have a very nice pair of White's Boots that I used to wear hunting in the winter. My dad has several pairs that he has owned for decades. He just drops them off for repair any time something breaks or otherwise malfunctions, and they do 'em right there in the shop.

Yeah the original smoke jumper boots were recommended to me and I'm just stunned at the price. But footwear is no laughing matter when it comes to this job. No biggie though, I think I can squeeze in a part time job to pay for these babies. Thanks for replies!

I've done structural firefighting, so our gear is different. We use slip on boots.
