August, September, October?

This is secondary space, isn't it? It's not like you have to get a kitchen remodel done to be able to cook, or finish the only bathroom before the home is inhabitable.

I'm a believer in doing things right, or not doing them at all. I've had to undo and redo too many amateur home kludges to do that to myself or anyone else. But, only you know what you're capable of and what your schedule and budget look like.

I'll possibly be able to work on it more by then, but I'm supposed to take it easy on my shoulder for 6 months, so even though I'll be out of the sling by then, I'll still want to refrain from major labor.

Since the walls in their current shape weren't done well, but they're useable for now, I'm going to skip the insulation, get everything else done, then make judgement on how needed it really is.

If it is needed, we can either blow in insulation, or just tear out the walls and redo them. Even if we wait 2 years to redo the walls then at that point, that's all that needs to be done and at that point we'll be more prepared to do it 'right'.

Until then, I kinda need a functional man cave and I'm ago wearing a hoodie if it's a little colder.

If moving the stack is not possible, another option for us to move the laundry area about 15ft to the left of the corner window so that the existing area could be included in the larger space (rather than framed off for a laundry room). If we can do that, it allows us to keep a window in the finished area, and it would make it less necessary to move the server stack. Here's some pics of the area with 'lines' outlining how I'd like to move things. Currently, the laundry gets hooked up right under the windows.
