I looking how to improve the way how the grill looks...maybe putting a wire finger grill ontop of it would look nice or maybe painting the grill black and leaving the finger grill silver, or vice versa, or just a filter grill black, i need some ideas. Heres the pics of the case so far. Lemme know what you think...more pics soon after i lay down my acoustic foam.

Open space for the grill
Old rusty grill borrowed from other project (just an example)
Big area to suck from no restriction!
Heres what the metalic paint looks like up close
Was polished down to have less of a shine

-other stuff
What my case looked like before
How it looks like inside
My old Voodoo3 on crack

-Acoustic Foam, amazing stuff best i've seen only stuff that compares in power is 2 inch thicker
All wrapped up adhesive on one side
Open cell, closed cell foam
Skin like top adds some 40 percent more acustical obsorbing power and makes it easy to clean up

I think your case looks awesome. I think you should leave the grill chrome or some sort of metallic. But whatever you do I think it looks really sweet. Could you give me some idea how you did this? Is this like normal paint or an electrostatic thing? Is the foam for sound proofing the case itself? How do you plan on installing it? Anyway, once again awesome case.

Thanks for the kind comments guys :)

Thats just normal ole spray paint Rustolum Midnight Black Metallic. Then followed with clearcoat, cause the metallic paints its near impossible to leave a even glossy finish so the clear coat fixes that and also adds a nice protection to the paint. I polished down the case a little bit with some Rynestone and dulled down the shine some, cause i thought it looked to shiny after i applied the clear coat. Im gonna wax it in a month after the paint ages some.

The gray is Textured nickle color, i used just a non-textured alluminum paint before it was too intense and the textured paint its really durable and easiest thing to spray on. Since its textured like any mistakes it covers they way it comes out its fool proof. I bought some textured black i was gonna do the whole case it, but went for the metallic to have a car body like finish.

I haven't installed the foam yet...its still rolled up it has an adhesive back you just slap it on its 1 inch thick, but its as powerful as 3 inch sculped foam, and its shape won't effect the airflow path. I gotta cover the case so from any sound source 360 degrees from it must not have a path to escape either it will bounce and onto foam or directly to it. Its hard to explain how i will have it layed out but there will be lots of cardboard hanging inside the case covered with this stuff.

Acoustic foam is from http://www.mcmaster.com/ I've having second thoughts putting in my case due that i think it won't do much for me cause when the case is closed up its noiseless only hear it very so slightly during when the HD accesses (look at my comp specs below). As it is right now with the comp just sitting naked on the floor without a case right now late at night no noise in my room, you have to put your ear up pretty close to the HD to hear a very low pitched hum, everything else is pretty much noiseless. I Might just line up the panels and duct my intake so no noise can escape from there when my HD is reading, probably the rest i'll throw in my server which can be heard, even tho its just one 20db fan in there, and a slow 5400 rpm HD.
54x24" ran me about 20 bucks with shipping.

Your jpg are too big ; when converted with acdsee to 75% quality jpg, they get 4 times smaller and the difference is hardly noticeable. You'd save time to modem users.

Nice paintjob anyway !

Momo:
I rounded my cabled by slicing every fifth wire and then twisting and rolling it up, and held it rolled with tiestraps at the end and covered it with black electrical tape.

LeBlatt:
Can you give me a little more info on acdsee? The pics were orginaly 1.3m 1600x1200 in jpg..i shrank em down too 800x600 and lowered the quality till it had no effect on the pic in PSP7.

Arg i just put my case together, and the noise level on my system increased, it ran quieter laying on the floor!
The sound must be resonating in the case, i haven't layed down the acoustic foam yet, i just bought a cheap inner tube to line my drive rails from vibration, that should help some.
