Finished Neon Genesis Evangelion last night

I've not yet watched these, but I've heard that tends to be the consensus with the ending, disappointing.

I'll commit sacrelige and say that I enjoyed RahXephon more then NGE, for the better characters, story, and ending. Shinji has to be the most annoying non-hero whiny boy in anime history.

i think i remember that it was disappointing. but then again, i watched the series so long ago that i dont exactly remember details of it. i do know, however, that it wasn't one of my favorite animes.

The End of Evangelion is a much better ending that the tv series ending.

Rahxephon is pretty much a clone of NGE in many ways. I think they do improve the storyline than NGE.

it really isn't for people who are beginning to get into anime. It has got to be one of the most confusing stories ever, and i don't think you can call the ending an ending.

I liked it and as a whole I dont like anime. As I understand it, they ran out of money and put together a clip show at the end instead of really finishing the story.

AFAIK, the last 2 episodes of the series is exactly how the director wanted it to end. After many many many disgruntled fans and pressure, they finally create a truer ending in EOE.

theres a movie called end of Evangelion, it doesnt help much tho, it was good but one of the most confusing series ever

ya, i loved the series. one of my favorites, but very confusing.

end of evangelion was episode 25-26 that they redid because the tv episode 25-26 were horrible.

Yeah, don't watch the movies. That's all I've got to say about that.

You should have watched in this order: 1-22 TV eps, 23/24 as Death & Rebirth, and 25/26 as End of Evangelion. At least, that's how I remember it.
