I just bought parts and made my own computer but so far my computer won't even start up. I put all the parts together the way i best know how and i everything seems to fit. I think its' either my power supplies problem or i didn't set up my F_panel correctly.

Here are my specs:

GA-K8NXP-SLI Motherboard
Amd Athlon 64 3200+ (2.0ghz)
Corsair 1Gb ddr400 Ram
Sata 200Gb Harddrive
Dual 6600Gt Graphics Card (256mbs)
16x DVD-Rom
Wireless Ethernet Card
450W Power Supply.

I just finished putting all the parts together and i was just about to start it up and configure the bios but the computer won't start up. When i press the on button the fans move a little bit before they stop... I hope i didn't fry my motherboard and it is just a matter of not having enough power in my power supply..

Can anyone help please?

To make sure this is not a faulty power button, take a straight screw driver, and touch the metal such that the 2 prongs on the motherboard are touching and creating a circuit. It should then turn right on!

Otherwise make sure your motherboard is properly seated on the stand offs and not shorting out.

Your mobo may not be reading your CPU fan correctly and it's shutting itself down to prevent damage. Consult your motherboard manual about this.

You might want to try removing one of the 6600gt's, and trying to boot with a single card. Is there a power LED on the MoBo itself? If there is, does it come on when you connect the PSU?

Top Two Bets already mentioned: 1.) Screwed down the mobo too tight on standoffs and its shorting 2.) something screwy with the CPU fan

standoffs causing shorts happens alot
take off your motherboard and make sure there arent any standoffs that dont have screw holes that line up to them
