fingerprint locks for your front door

i heard about this stuff that lets you use your fingerprint(s) to open doors quite a while back (maybe a year or more)

recently my father and i were discussing: would it be a good idea to have that on the front door of your house, and maybe a few other important doors (parents' room, garage door, etc.) so that keys would never have to be used again? or are these things completely unreliable...?

My sister bought a package at a tanning salon and they insisted that she submit her index fingerprint as identification. Each time she went to the salon, she had to put her finger on this little gizmo and wait for it to authorize her to use the tanning bed. I thought it was eerie.

I dont think I would like it. Don't know why, exactly, but I just kinda dont like the idea of fingerprints for things.

I guess I am weird.
