They should lock her up with that lady who claimed she was trampled at Walmart over a DVD player, but turned out to be a habitual slip-and-faller.

Unfortunately, if the woman was faking it, Wendy's might get the false impression that their chili was ok afterall.

for 99 cents it's not too bad, specially with a couple of the seasoning packets

Why is everyone so quick to judge? They haven't found anything conclusive yet.

Because of her track record, because of the amount of these losers out there that continuously pull this crap, and because... she sucks.

hopefully they sue her into the ground, and the other places she's sued can successfully appeal.

I feel bad for the Wendy's employees. I'm sure they've had to deal with a countless number of people thinking they're making a funny joke by asking for "chili...with no fingers in it!".

This woman is starting to look culpable. I had thought that it was suspicious based on the fact that the finger tip is 3.2 centimeters long.... how do you put that in your mouth without seeing it?

It would be better for wendy's to let the DA charge the woman with whatever crimes apply.

3.2 centimeters isn't very big at all... it would blend right into the chili, especially with the dark sauce and beans in the way...

Agreed. People who abuse the legal system for profit deserve to experience our lovely penitentiary system.

The fact that she sucks has legal merit, I'll give you that. That's all a judge needs to hear, and it'll be a tough for her lawyer to defend.. I'm not so sure about the other charges though.

Other losers who "do that kind of crap" have nothing to do with this case...

Her track record, according to the article:

1998 - sexual harrasment against boss
2000 - Sued auto dealership, dismissed, she alledgedly threatened her lawyer
2004 - settlement for medical expenses after her daughter was sick from food at an El Pollo Loco restaurant in Las Vegas.

The third one may seem suspicious at first look, but note she only recieved a settlement for medical expenses. No pain, suffering, emotional distress, etc. She was reimbursed for the money she spent to get her daughter well.

I don't see how anyone can be so quick to judge this person without all the facts. We just don't know the whole story.

If there were a rEdiculous(note the "e", grammar nazi's, and I AIN'T CHANGING IT) lawsuit she filed previously, like a rat tail in her fries or a cowlip in her calamari, that would be a different story.

I don't see anything wrong with the lawsuits she filed previously.

To play the devil's advocate in regards to a case like this is noble of you. Good luck with that. While you're going to bat for her, maybe she can choke on something and get you on the payroll.

In other words, you disagree. Please elaborate. Maybe there's something I'm not seeing and you can guide me to it?

Let me ask a simple question. Knowing that each wendy's franchise makes their own chili from the previous days left-over burgers every morning and no one at the Wendy's was missing a finger, where pray tell did the finger come from? It's a little problematic to just assume that because there is a finger in her chilli that Wendy's is responsible for it being there. Much like the guy that found a mouse in his pepsi (that he later admited he put in there), most of these incidents involve the individual putting stuff into their own food.

The key is the finger, who's is it and where did it come from. When you can answer that question you can assign blame. Given that no one at Wendy's is missing a finger or works at a funeral home on the side and is disgruntled the chances are she put the finger in herself.
