Hey everyone! I have an issue where I need to find the IP address of my WHS machine. My desktop machine in my room is connected with wireless to my landlord's router, which is downstairs. From there, I run an ethernet cable to a switch in the livingroom, which I then run another cable to the WHS box. Then I bridged the wireless connection with the wired.
The backups work and if I leave my desktop machine running, I can access the server from outside the network as well. My issue is my occasional desire to log in through Remote Desktop from my desktop in my room. I can't remember how I did it the first time, but I was able to come up with the IP address so I could remote into it. When I changed my dual core out for my new quad, for some reason the IP address changed. Now, I can't find that IP address again to save my life.
What do I need to do, aside from hooking a monitor up to the WHS box, to find it again?
BTW: Vista Ultimate x64
