Finding Forrester questions

Who's the guy that did all of Forrester's chores? What kind of person is subject to doing such a thing?

And why did Jamal miss those free throws at the end of the championship game? Did he just really have faith in Forrester saving him or something?

1. He worked for the publishing company. Part of the stuff he brought him was the royalties from his book.

2. He did it to make a point, they kinda hammered it home with a sledgehammer, can't believe you missed it.

Thank you for that intelligent and insightful movie review

Not that you'd know what "intelligence" means.

It's got writing, and it's got basketball, two of my favorite things. Along with raindrops on roses, that is.

I drove my girlfriend crazy after we saw it because I kept telling her, "that's not a soup question."

hehe, I STILL say that all the time, it's great. And I'd like to think that my Sean Connery impression is pretty decent. For that line, at least. 😉

1. Forrester wrote a book and then chose to be annonyamous. For years after that people still bought his book. The assumption is that part of his royalties went towards a servant to do all his chores so he could stay annonymous.

2. Jamal was offered the chance to drop all of his alleged transgressions as long as he won the game. He knew for a fact that he was innocent (he wrote all of his papers himself), so he purposely chose to lose the game to prove a point. It's pretty blatent in the movie... if you missed it you must have been watching something else or have been in another room... for HALF AN HOUR.
