Ive been building a new computer, and took the 6800nu from my current PC.

Also I left my Battlefield 2 manual back at my university res :( [I cant even connect to servers from there because of blocked up ports]

Is there any way I can find my CD key from registries or something?

My guess is the key is stored there in (Default) encrypted. So you can just copy that key to your other registry I guess. I don't quite understand what you're doing though. BF2 from old PC to new PC using old PC's key?

I don't think you can use the old registry entry and copy it to the new installation. My bro wanted to do the same thing (built a new comp, had the CD for re-installation but the key was left up at school) and he ended up not being able to play till he got back so he could re-install with the actual key in-hand.

edit: Oops, you actually got it to work then?

Yeah as duragezic said copying the registry entry didn't work. I ended up just going into the registry and entering my CD key after the x9293 (or whatever it is) without the dashes. Worked and didn't have to reinstall.
