Finding an AIM impersonator

Hey everyone, I was wondering if there's anyway I can find out who's been impersonating people I know. We think it's someone in our student group, but we can't find out for sure. Is it possible to send a picture or something with a worm or virus to cause them to send out e-mails to everyone or some way we can report them to AOL? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
