I used to have my website hosted with Netfirms. Netfirms had offered a deal where you get the first year for just $10, but then after that you are screwed.
I did the first year, and then afterwards shifted my hosting over to Dreamhost which had a similar deal, $20 for one year. The domain name still costs about $9.99 a year, and I have that registered through Netfirms. Getting the host changed was a royal pain in the ass. For this reason, when my $20 year at Dreamhost ended, I just stayed with them since my email was hosted through them and everything and I didn't want to deal with downtime or screwing up shifting over to somewhere else, and I pay about $10.99 a month and have a few different domains hosted on the plan right now.
Well I think there are cheaper monthly plans like perhaps $5 a month that will host these domains for me. I really don't get many hits, and the most important thing to me is the email addresses at the domains I have.
Does anyone know of a different plan I could shift over to that would be cheaper and host multiple domains, and what exactly do I need to do to have a domain shifted somewhere else? How does that work?
