When my 21" CRT died I thought I had a tricky way of getting rid of it.
I set it in the back of my pick up with the tailgate down. I figured someone driving by would see it and steal it. 5 days later it was gone. I was happy. The next day my neighbor told me he saw it sitting there and thought it was going to rain so he put it in his gagrage for me.

Good luck. I tried to find a place to take mine, and couldn't. Tried calling Office Max, etc. Called a high school. My city didn't have a freakin clue and could care less. They did say the dump in our same county (20 min away in BFE) would take it, but that's a lot of work to recycle a monitor. I did finally get there but they were closed, so I left it by the glass, can, paper bins. Didn't know Salvation Army would take it. Don't think I called the community college not too far away either. What is FISH and OARC?
