Finding a doctor

I was asked to find a doctor for some general check-up. My friend feels more comfortable with a female doctor, but frankly I don't see that many selection for female doctors in her area. I tried calling a couple, but they're not taking any new patients until March.

Anyway, I was browsing around and found a male doctor who is covered by her insurance. On the doctor's page it says that he is fond of toy poodles. I don't want to make any assumptions, but do you know of any male who is also fond of toy poodles? If so, would you describe him as the type whom females feel comfortable being around?

For privacy reasons, I'd rather not. On a side note, I found another female doctor in a nearby area. It's not exactly in her area, but it's a short drive. Unfortunately, i did a quick Google search and found that this doctor has bad reviews. Former patients accused her of being condescending, waiting 3+ hours to get a 5 minute medical advice, and to top it off, her staff also sucks.
