Finding a 6800 GT or Ultra is like... impossible

Gonna check out the retail stores in my area today but so far looking online has proved to be pointless lol.

according to the latest maximumpc mag review, this asus card does NOT have a GT chipset. it only has 12 pipes, 128 mb ram, and is a regular vanilla 6800. it'd be damn cheap at $339 for a real GT. i dont see any real ones in stock at newegg anyway.
keep checking outpost.com they sold me my bfg 6800gt for $349 and they keep listing them as they get stock.
good luck

I know I saw a Gainward Golden Sample 6800GT on the FS/FT forums for $400. I won't link to it but do a simple search.

Finding 6800GT for MSRPl or lower has been easy for over a month now. Finding 6800 Ultra for MSRP or lower has been hard but you can now find it in stock.

X800XT PE however still remains very difficult to find at MSRP and in stock.

my coworker bought one last month for 710... when the box came.. i held it up and all the computer geeks were clapping.. someone got to play doom that night at 1600x1200.. it was so fricken funny

I ordered a Leadtek GeForce 6800 Ultra. I've been waiting for this card for one month now, and it has still not arrived yet. >_o It sucks, I know, but hardly any stores in the Netherlands have a GT or Ultra available from good quality brands. It shouldn't take much longer now, because my store thinks it'll arrive early in November. If it happens before my birthday on 27th November, I'll be very happy. 🙂

I got my brand new retail Leadtek 6800GT for $385 on eBay last week (comes with Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia). If you look for deals there, you can find some gems.

Finding a GT right now is cake, finding an Ultra is still difficult. Seems to be plenty of X800 Pros and X800 XTs in stock at various online vendors though.

Hey guys you think you find them but hey i just checked and no one has them.. the circuit city one... you go to check out and it says

Temporarily out of stock

so don't tell me im not looking hard enough. I just spend ALL day looking ALL over town for even a GT!! and could not find one. I called EVERY computer store in town and no one had a single one. I live in a town that has 500k people too.
