You guys are crazy! He has a nice system their and no point with upgrading it. He should take his money and put it for something useful.
 
get him a 15k scsi drive and let it roll. only use it as a boot drive tho. so just load the os on it and stuff and use the other one for games, docs, etc.

you will see a huge performance increase.

It's not for us to say what the guy should do with his money. It's his, after all.
 
If he does get a SCSI setup, it will be sharing bandwidth since it's stuck on the PCI 33 bus, so even SCSI 160 will be overkill.

I'd have to agree after reading some more details. I'd reommend saving the money for now and wait for another generation of video cards or cpus.
