I love those Indomie noodles. In addition to the normalish ramen, I love the chicken curry noodle soup version as well as the Hot and Spicy Stir Fried Noodles... Have only tried I think 3 different ones, and all are quite good.

Also, a huge fan of "MAMA Instant Pad Thai Noodles", I got them from the evil empire here, but, will likely pick some more up from another source when I run out.

The recipe calls for basically boiling 14oz water with the noodles added. Meantime I have a method for extracting the 3 liquids from their plastic packaging. I squeeze them onto a flat spatula. When the noodles are done, drain and toss over the spatula, which sits in a bowl. Add the dry packet contents and stir.

I actually cut up a bit of broccoli and cauliflower and add some frozen mixed organic veges (from Costco) to the boiling needles near the end.

I throw in some dried onions (also Costco). With the drain (per instructions) it all turns out dry, not a soup type affair like most raimen, but it's all the spicier therefore.

That's a phenominal deal compared to Bukdak, but 60 for something I haven't tried is a damn lot. I love spicy, but I'm curious about the other flavors. I might go this route thanks for the info, but I think I'll check more asian markets. I bet I can find single packs somewhere.

Yea, we just chop an onion, some mushrooms, and maybe some other fresh vegetables and add a couple fried or boiled eggs and possibly some meatballs, shrimp, chicken, or ground beef and call it a day... easy to upgrade for sure.

The Lucky Me Pancit Canton I bought a few times was the same way, called for draining it.

I am even doing it with some domestic raimen that doesn't call for it. I figure the broth is the major source of the sodium content. I'm not high blood pressure, but figure that watching my sodium intake is apt to keep me that way. People get used to salty foods. Myself, I'm so used to lower salt that much of what's typical in packaged foods tastes excessively salty to me.

My kids liked eating ramen that way too, broth is part of the experience for me, and my blood pressure numbers are almost too low so I figure I'm alright.

AFAIK, hard to go too low with BP numbers. People in primitive cultures aren't in triple figures, was what I saw when I researched this online. Last I checked mine was 116/66 IIRC. Real good but not THAT good!

I like my "dry" with enhancements more than the broth.

The first time my doc saw I was at 92/62 she asked if I was light-headed or dizzy and specifically noted in the report that I'd said I was not.

The spicy glazed wings at the grocery store wing bar near my house are phenomenal. They're so good that they're hard to describe.

The problem? Everything else in that bar sucks, even the buffalo wings. They're usually gone by the time I get there.

I could easily double up and go whine in the first world problems thread when I'm denied my spicy glazed wings.

Got these from groceryoutlet yesterday. They're pretty good. Nothing amazing really, just a decent pickle with a decent bite. They have spears also. Groceryoulet wanted 50¢ more for the spears, and I don't care what the shape is. Claussen is the best big name pickle in general I think. I've been buying more boutique brands for the last few years, so it's nice to change it up.

Eating Tostitos Ghost Pepper salsa, the bottle says "extra hot" but it's a Frito Lay brand, and Ghost Pepper's an overused buzz word to trick people in to think something has to be hot.

This is legit spicy, it has a slow building heat thast keeps going and sticks around. This would definitely be too spicy for most people. Outside of the heat this actually has a good flavor. It's even making my nose run a little/

For products I can easily find, only the Mrs. Renfros Ghost Pepper Salsa is hotter. But that brand's not in every store like Frito.

Ooh we really liked Mrs. Renfros brand, but we have stopped finding it much in local stores. I do remember their ghost pepper option was very spicy, but it was good.

Not blazing hot, but an honest amount of spice. Might be too much for a midwesterner. I got others also, not all hot. I wanted to try them all, then hoard the best. If they're all good, I guess I'll buy them all. Never seen this brand before, but I'm pleased.

My favorite modernity might be the proliferation of Indian food. When I was a kid, the "ethnic" choices were Italian, Chinese, and tacobell.

I know three Indian places close to me, and 'easy meals' like these are in every decent grocerystore. Sometimes newer is better.

It's a limited release, and officially, I think it's only at walmart, but I got it at groceryoutlet. Cost $1 there. Not as hot as you might think, but it would definitely be too hot for many people. Nice heat, but the flavor isn't my favorite. I think I detected too much sugar. There's other chili I like better while adding my own hot sauce, but for $1, I'll get a bunch more cans.

Thanks to Reddit I discovered the Aldi's brand spicy chicken patties. They're your typical Chicken'ish nugget patties. The bag shows 2/4 for spice level (whatever that means lol) I normally would ignore this if I saw it. But Reddit said they're legit semi spicy. For a 2/4 I was really impressed with the heat level, I've bought things that showed 5/5 for heat level and they ended up barely being a 1/5 to me. These are much spicier than a spicy McChicken or the one from Carls. There's a slight up front heat and a build up that reaches a decent heat level and actually lingers. I'd honestly say these will be too spicy for lightweights. I wish they were way spicier, but for a mass produced product labeled 2/4 for spice these exceeded my expectations.

And as far as big ass nugget go, they come out pretty decent in the air fryer

So...this stuff isn't "OMFG! Hot!", but it's got a nice gentle kick to it:

(ordering from the website gives you the opportunity to get hotter products than the medium stuff I've tried)

We first stumbled on it at Costco a couple of years ago. The smaller jars are available at Walmart. They usually have a couple of the cooking sauces as well. (haven't tried those yet, but might be good in enchiladas)

I have had to tone things done a bunch since colon surgery in January. Working my way back up with some milder, slightly spicy dishes. Made some Green Tai Curry using around 1 ounce of Mae Ploy green curry paste rather than 2 ounces, with shrimp, scallops, squid, potatoes, mushrooms, rice. Had to skip the onions. And ohhh, it was still quite delicious even if only a little bit of heat. We completely skipped adding additional chilies, so, the only chilies were the ground birds eye chilies that the sauce is based on.
