Doesen't have to be, but we're shooting for as high a ratio as possible..

I am nervous about the sprocket being too large and contacting the sand.. Will have to put in some sort've baffle.

72 teeth #35 is like ~9" diameter... 72 teeth #25 is only ~6" ...

Chain anywhere near sand is very bad! Even if you're not using it to cut logs.

Yeah, I know.. another reason we wanted to do belt.

But realistically, the chain will still last quite a while... It's not like the thing will see continuous use. Will just keep a spare handy...
