Not that I know of (It is probably just because two of her friends got Hondas in the last year 😉). I think the Sienna is great and it was a toss-up between that and the Honda back in 2005 when we bought it. I have not looked at anything since 2005, so we will still research and test drive a few different brands before we commit. I just need to make sure we are not shooting ourselves in the foot financially.
Our current minivan does not have nav or DVD because, at the time, my wife did not think she wanted either. She has since changed her mind. With the drop in prices and interest rates since 2005, I think we can get both features in a newer vehicle and our monthly payment may actually go down.

That's probably true, but aren't you also going to take a hit on your Sienna?
We bought a '07 Odyssey EX-L with the DVD system one year ago, and really like it. Great van, would recommend to others. Even then, we got a killer deal buying at the end of the year. Good luck in your search.
As a person who has built in DVD players in both cars - it's not worth the cost. Just buy a $100 portable or the $100 "headrest" kits and be done with it. The built in ones just aren't worth the $1000 premium that you are charged for them. Same goes for Navigation. Why spend $2000 when a $200 garmin is more up todate and can be used in more than one car?
I didn't go out of my way to get the DVD players, they just happened to be on cars that I was interested in.

We have a portable GPS in her van now and she hates it as compared to the built-in one in my car. She hates the dash mount and the wires for the charger (if the thing is not plugged in, she will never charge it. Do not ask me about her mobile phone!).
I will be looking into the headrest DVDs, but my wife absolutely will not put up with any sort of ghetto set up, so the wires have to be hidden and the controls have to be nicely mounted or via a reliable remote. Of all the vehicles that I have been in with the headrest DVDs, the installs all left something to be desired or the remote was flaky. I assume that, the more you pay for installation, the better it looks (this is not something I would do myself), so the savings may cancel out.
My wife may sound picky but, to be honest, I agree with her (I guess I am picky, too, but, since it is not my car, I do not have to be the one to complain about things). Also, she spends a LOT of time in the car with the kids, so I really want her to be happy with it (and the kids, too, because happy kids make for a happy wife, too).

We had that same dilemma when we were van-shopping, and ended up just paying the extra $$ to get the factory system. With the discounting, it wasn't that much more than a nice aftermarket roof-mounted set-up (if we went with headrest units, we'd have needed four, since we also have kids sitting in the back row), and it had the cleanness of factory-installation. Plus, you'll get SOME of that money back on resale.
