Financial relief for Altoids addicts

Are you an Altoids addict? I am. I can finish a tin in 2-3 days and always keep coming back for more. Unfortunately, these Made in the UK mints are overpriced, especially if you go through them as much as I do. $4/week for mints is ridiculous.

But there is relief! Leave it to Necco to introduce their "ULTRAmint" high-intensity peppermints. Necco has always made those sugary hearts for Valentines Day, but this year they capitalized on the peppermint craze. Now that Valentine's Day is over, leftover candy is cheap. I recently bought 6 bags of ULTRAmints (7 oz size) at 49 cents each...that's the equivalent of 2 dozen tins of Altoids for pennies on the dollar. And they have about 90% of the intensity of Altoids, too.

So check your supermarket for these cheap high-intensity mints.

mithrandir, seek help.

Your local chapter of AA (Altoids Anonymous) should be able to offer some guidance. ;)

They need to make sugar-free altoids. I swear the daggone things were the sole cause of the few cavities that I've had, and I stopped getting cavities after I stopped swilling altoids.

Look into Pengiun Mints.

No sugar, & caffeinated as hell.

I was once the same way with pez. I would just eat them one after the other. I made myself stop though. I've been clean for a year and 2 months now. Never once looked back:p

Smint is by FAR the greatest of the mints. Not only does it have a convenient dispenser.... but there are like 6 flavors now! My favorite (besides regular - strong as F***) is Peach. It's like biting into a fresh Georgia peach! :D

I'd rather be paying the price of mint addiction, than that of nicotine.
