There was some thread couple of days ago where someone said that it is very easy to get scholarship/financial aid in Florida and Georgia. Can someone give me that link please? I have been searching for it for one now :(

Most places wont give you more than the estimated cost of tuition and room and board.

i think you would get less money. i remember i got a couple hundred dollars for performing well on the SAT 9 test here in california. however, if i claimed that money, i would lose that same exact amount in financial aid, so i never bothered claiming it.

i also believe you're supposed to report any new funding you receive to the financial aid office, so yes, i do believe they will give you less money.

This is correct its based on for the estimated cost each year
This is mine as an example supplied by the financial aid office

Books & Supplies $740.00
Loan Fee Soph/Jr/Sr $74.00
Maintenance $2,320.00
Room & Board $5,840.00
Tuition & Fees $3,548.00
Total: $12,522.00

Minus grants of $10,000
Minus Loans of $2,100
Out of pocket $422

The amount you can borrow "loan" is based off of what remains after grants and scholarships. But in most cases will never exceed what the university or college has estimated for your budget.

I think on the top corner of your FAFSA is a estimated family contribution, or something along those lines. I think thats what they have determined that you will pay, so it may change to keep that number constant.
