finaly hope for us redskins fans!!!! shanahan signs on as head coach!!!

this should be interesting. so shanny has final say over all football decisions? then why the hell do they still have a GM?

You don't have Elway playing for you nor is he coming back to the NFL to play for you. One playoff victory in Denver since Elway left shows how great of a coach he is. Sorry, but he will not be anything close to Gibbs first run with the team. You may get to the playoffs at least, but I wouldn't count on anything more than one playoff win in a single post season.

There is no hope for Redskins fans as long as Danny Snyder is running the show. Remember, another "elite coach", Joe Gibbs, was supposed to make the Skins a winning team, and all his return did was tarnish his HOF coaching legacy.

Besides, look at the last two or three years Shanahan was in Denver...yeah...

Shanahan was totally made by Elway. Unless there is a Cyborg Elway in development somewhere, he ain't coming back. Sorry.

Correct answer. No better examples than the Redskins and Orioles of how to totally ruin winning franchises by selling them to idiots.

This is good. I got sick of watching this team f around. They have a decent QB, but they made him look like the worst QB on the planet at times.

i am wondering about that too, they are supposedly thinking about drafting bradford so i am wondering about cambells future with the team

You beloved patriot fans say the same thing every year....whether it be a new coach, or new players.

You guys need much more than a new coach

We need a new everything tbh. We'll see who really controls the team by the draft though. I have a feeling Danny will still have his hand in personnel decisions FTL

terrible hire. What has he done when he didn't have Elway and TD ... nothing.

Campbell is sure as hell no Elway and if all the talk of the skins taking Bradford in the draft are true, god help us again. A guy who has waxed his shoulder 2X in a short span really gonna last in the NFL??

We need a QUARTERBACK and a RUNNING BACK and some RECEIVERS. Get those guys and bet ANYONE could be head coach here.

Shanahan was fired for not making the playoffs the last 3 seasons. Way go Snyder spending 7 mil a year for another coach he probably won't do crap.

EDIT - I hope to eat all of those words within the next few years but I doubt it.

this. snyder is the root of the problem.

That's a brutal assessment, but is legitimate. Success in one city doesn't make someone a great coach imo...they have to do it elsewhere or atleast with completely different teams in the same city...and he hasn't. The jury is still out on shanahan.

That said, its a great risk by the redskins and an excellent opportunity for shanahan to show his metal.
