It took almost 10 years and 3 different pc builds but I can now play crysis at 1080p at 60fps.

It only took a 6700k @4.7, gtx 1080 and 32 gigs of ram.

Crysis is on sale on steam for $5 currently.

The graphics kinda suck :-/

Hmm...I've been able to do that for many years. Are you requiring maxed out everything for that?

Anyways, Crysis was superb coding. It just was way ahead of its time, doing things no one else dreamed of at the time. Of course they won't have all the current advancements in coding they have today, but for the time, it was a work of art.

Man... I think my Crysis DVD is in a storage box and the manual in a different box. I'd probably just re-buy it on Steam if I were actually desperate to play it.

Everything turned up to max settings... I had a ati 4870 , core 2 quad 9550 with 4 gigs of ddr 3, a 2500k with duel 6950s and 8 gig of ram, then swaped a gtx 960 in it after a 6950 died...

Nothing came close to running it at a consistent 60 fps.

The whole "maxed out Crysis" is kind of a joke on those who try. No game needs MSAAx16. Just because that setting existed, did not mean we should have used it.

I might add that AA at the time, almost every game could force on in the control panel. They just made it accessible from within the game, but it's not like you turned AA to MSAAx16 in any other game. That's one setting I've never considered to be a game setting when trying to "max out" a game.
