Finally upgraded from my 1gb HD7770. The low vram made COD WW2 a hitch-fest. Almost impossible to play. I got an Asus GTX 1060 6gb, dual fan, from Microcenter for 269.00. I could have lived with the 3 gb, but the cheapest one was only 30.00 less, so pretty much a no brainer to go for the 6gb. Stock is pretty good on a variety of 1060s, but most are still over 300, pretty high for this late in the life cycle.
Very happy with it so far. WW2, Witcher 3 and ROTR were the only games I have that ran poorly on the 7770, and they all will do 60FPS on high to ultra at 1080p. Surprisingly, my ancient i5 2320 holds up fairly well. 80 to 100% usage, but I dont notice any stuttering. These are all single player results though, I dont play on-line.
BTW, not planning to overclock, at least right away, but how do you overclock with the boost clock?
