Soho is dismantled due to remodeling.

That is freakin sweet. Matrox vid card?[/quote]Thanks! Yup, Matrox Parhelia. The only downsided I've found with them is if you're running an application that doesn't play nice with multiple screens. Sometimes the app stretches across more than one or all screens and there's no way to snap to grids or resize some apps. Otherwise, triple-head rocks!

How does the Parhelia compare in 3d performance with the 9700 pro? I know that Matrox doesn't tend to build 3d hardware but last I heard, Parhelia's supposed to have pretty decent 3d performance.

Well, I do have the ATI 9700 Pro too. Unfortunately, I haven't gamed them side by side (the triple head setup is my workplace workspace), the 9700 Pro is on one of my SOHO rigs, a 9600 AIW runs my main comp. I have played UT2004, HL and QIII on the Parhelia with enough quality settings turned on that you don't play thinking you were running a stripped down game; but being that it's my Office PC I haven't spent much time tweaking or seeing what it can do with games. I have played enough though to know that once you do play games that are triple-head aware it's disappointing going back to single monitor gaming.

I'm not going triple-head for my home workstation until Matrox or someone else puts out a good PCI-Express version. Until then, I'll settle for dual-monitors.

why do people tidy up their stupid computer workstations before they present them to all the other nerds? show your true colors. i'd show my mess but don't have a digital camera.
