Finally there might be a good heatsink for X-Qpack/MicroFly/low profile cases

I may be struck dead in my stea for saying this but, I really like the SG03....

Nope still here. DFI has an SLI uATX board that would drop in there really nicely!

dude if the SG03 only took full size motherboards.

It would seriously be the bomb.

QFT, seems there's enough room, if just barely that a redesign could hold full atx boards. Not a mod I'd want to try on such a nice case myself though.

I've heard people mention about modding X-Qpack cases for regular ATX, but haven't ever been able to find definitive info, so I don't know whether it is people's wishful thinking along with the fact that an ATX motherboard could fit in it if rotated 90º either way, or if someone really did do it at one time. Plausible? Sure. Heck, I'd try it if someone would donate me any X-Qpack style case (X-Qpack2, MicroFly, Chenming, etc.) and a motherboard tray. :D

Take a look at the SG-03 I really think I could chop the back pannel out, drill some new holes in the motherboard tray, tap them, use the backpiece off any old case I have laying around and turn it into a full ATX minitower.

For all the effort that would take though, I don't know why I wouldn't just buy a PC-A59B or a PC-A05B or a PC-G50B.

Another option would be to remove all or part of the HDD support beam, so you can install large HSFs after the motherboard tray is already in.

I looked into doing that, but with the position of my CPU socket and the assortment of heatsinks I had, the fan/heatsinks would have been pushing against the hard drive by that time, so a no go.
Heh, it took me almost a week to remember what I wanted to say about that point -

So I was browsing a while ago and saw this thing. Got an interesting offset to it...if only it came with a more standard socket compatibility.

I also briefly pondered getting the Rosewill RCX-Z4 that you used to have, but I figured that with the odd left-offset, it'd hit the PSU.
