Just got my Arctic Cooling copper silent 2m heatsink for my Barton 2800+, and a Vantec Stealth 120mm intake fan. Put the two into my Antec SLK3700BQE and my CPU temps went from 60'C to 45' C, My video card dropped from 44' C to 39' C also. Is that good? The only thing I was displeased about was the wierd rumbing noise the stealth makes :(

It's not bad... It's probably what I would consider average. I run on average 40c, and when the CPU hits 100% my CPU temp is about 45c. Of course, that's with the room temp of about 77-80.

Are you talking about Stealth fan? If yes, it shouldn't make ANY noise. That's what 'Stealth' implies.

I'm running the Vantec Stealth as my intake fan, and i've noticed it's the loudest thing in my system now next to the graphics card.

Vantec Stealth is one of the most overrated "stealth" fans because they are anything but.

Try undervolting them.. that might work.

I hope you're being saracastic...

At 120mm, any fan running at normal speeds will generate quite a bit of noise because of the airflow it produces. Your best bet is to undervolt the fan.

Buy a Zalman fanmate or a fan controller if you want to variably adjust them.

Or do a 5/7V mod to your fans.

OK, i'm familiar with the zalman fanmates, but what else are you talking about? Is there any way to adjust the fan voltage from the mobo?

The volt mods is just changing some wires around at the molex connector. I don't have an specific guide to refer you to, but Google it and you'll find many tutorials.

I've got 2 90mm's and they run silent... I suppose the 30mm diff will cause them to run noisy. d0y

7v:
Connect the power wire to the 12v rail and the ground to the 5v rail.

5v
Connect the power wire to the 5v rail and the ground to the ground.
