Finally ran a speed test on my new phone-DAYUM!

This was my very first test. WiFi is disabled. Waaaay faster than my home Internet service.

iPhone 6s Plus
AT&T LTE 4 of 5 bars
30263, south-west of Atlanta
WiFi disabled
Speedtest.net mobile app
98.85 Mbps download
14.88 Mbps upload
!!!

[edit]

I think AT&T was teasing me. The next 2 tests were slower.

PING:46ms,DL:98.85mbps,UL:14.88mbps
PING:39ms,DL:79.90mbps,UL:11.36mbps
PING:31ms,DL:75.86mbps,UL:19.06mbps

All from the same spot, holding the phone the same way.

Manhattan makes me sad - full bars, AT&T LTE - latency isn't bad at 60ms but dl/ul speeds are like 5-6mb/sec on my Note 5 and my wife's 6S.

I once got like 48 down while taxi-ing around the Atlanta airport. Best I've gotten yet.

I usually average 10-15 in the Tulsa area
(Verizon)

You all have fast speeds for sure. I never check mine, knowing won't make it any faster (it's slow - Verizon), I am on wireless 99% of the time anyway.

AT&T always has been crazy fast in my experience. Back in summer 2013 I went on a week long road trip around the upper midwest and just for kicks I did speedtest everywhere. Of all the tests I did, I easily got 55+ Mbps on average (the highest is I believe close to 65). This was almost 2.5 years ago. I can imagine it's even better now.

AT&T's strength is their faster LTE while Verizon's strength is their wider coverage. You could tell this by simply looking at their respective TV commercials and listen to what they're bragging about.

Easy on the speed tests while on LTE. You can easily chew through a few hundred mb just by seeing how fast you can go... Not fun when you have data caps. I blew threw a few hundred mb just on speed tests alone when I got my new phone. :/

Looks like 80MB-100MB on each test for me.

How fast does it actually download stuff? Speedtest isn't really a real... speed test.

How is it not?

My speed test results perfectly mirror my steam download speeds, and torrents (with enough seeders) will fully saturate my connection as well.

The only time I can't get full speed is when the server I am connecting to is the limiting factor, not me.
