Yes, I drive a nice reliable car that has plenty of power. No I don't install 50 spoilers and a 50" exhaust pipe. Or use multicolor rainbow paint on it.
Because when I am able to, I will be getting a dedicated dragster. But, for now I love crusing with the top down on a sunny summer evening better than even going fast. That, and the DSG Vert will be sold soon, just waiting until the late spring when I can get a better price on a Vert.
Umm WTF? Dude do you even know what you are talking about??? I don't rice out cars or add spoilers. I make them faster with perforamnce mods. Jeez you do not even know about tuning or anything, you just think The Fast and Furious is all that exists. Also the Mysti paint came stock. :disgust:

Jules: Thanks, sorry it is not an Exige. I tried to get on the waiting list for one of the Sport Exige Cups back in November when I originally thought I'd be buying a new Shelby GT, but since they were only making 50, only about 14 went state side.

You know........what slays me is I asked months ago if JD Powers was a good source of reliability studies and such. Almost everyone said yes.
Of course, that was before it was revealed that JD Powers had a newish study, a long-term reliability study done in 2005, that showed the American cars were doing damned near as well as most Japanese.
Then, it was "You can't trust JD Powers....the get their data by interviewing owners and that's not trustworthy." Of course, that statement and others like it are utter BS.
The only way any reliability study is done is by interviewing owners. It's not like GM or Toyota actually keep records secretly about repairs and only give them to the gov't or some secretive organization. All reliability data is anectodal, not empirical.
But, the moment anyone dares mention that American vehicles are on par with reliability of Japanese vehicles produced about 4-5 years ago, and that's what the general feeling is in the repair industry....that the domestics lag behind the Eastern imports in reliability by about 5 years......it's called bullcrap.
Unfortunately for the fanbois, it's pretty true. While domestic reliability does indeed lag behind Far Eastern reliability, it's not by much. And even if it's by 6-7 years, you wouldn't call Toyotas or Hondas produced 7 years ago unreliable. but you cannot convince the fanbois....and who cares to.
